It’s been a long time comin’
Here is a look into what we have been up to the past month. It’s not in any real order but you’ll get the idea. We took the 18 hour drive out to Missouri to spend Christmas with Brian’s family. I know you are all thinking that’s way too long of a drive but believe me if you had family like we have you’d do it too. I hate the roads b/c there is alway some storm we are avoiding, icy roads, freezing rain, major wind…need I say more BUT the actual “road trip” we love. The funny stories, great music, games, fights 😀 haha, the second we pull out of the driveway the trip begins and we love it.
Here are some pictures of Brian’s birthday. Woo Hoo, big 29! We had desserts over here with some friends and family. It was great.
Ready to blow out the candles being sung to.
Some of the folks. We were lucky enough to have Brandon and Jana over since they were visiting from Florida. We got to see them twice in one year! We are feeling real good about that.
Brian’s family tradition is to wake the birthday boy/girl up in the morning singing and bringing gifts and then breakfast of choice. It was only the two of us and he probably would have rather slept a little longer but with a few cinnamon rolls he was ready to head off to work.
Brian and Craig. We were able to celebrate Brian’s birthday while we were in MO with his family. We went to my favorite restaurant Houlihan’s and then partied after; ate cake, played games…
Here was our group at dinner. We got to hang out with the Behan’s and Claire and Adam Freestone and their little cutie, Ruby too. It was a great day.
Here is the cake that Emily made for Bri. It had a very appropriate gun on it. Brian’s into guns lately and got one for his birthday. We went shooting for our very romantic anniversary on the 12th of December. 6 years and going strong. Luckily I’m married to the greatest guy and he puts up with me quite nicely. 😀
Me and the birthday boy. Well it wasn’t really his birthday but we like to celebrate as much as possible. Well, I like celebrating as much as possible. Brian likes to keep a low profile as you well know.
Don’t you love those sleepy faces? Brian surprised me with Guitar Hero 3, Deluxe Edition Scrabble…among other things. Brian “wrapped” the GH3 in a suitcase. I thought the suitcase was my gift. I was surprised yes, but a little puzzled when I realized it was old, ripped and had a busted handle. Then I ripped into it and found the gift I’d been wanting for a long time. The kids loved their gifts. We all had a wonderful Christmas. It was one to remember.
Bridget reading to her baby with her dora slippers on.
Here’s the shot right before the chaos started.
This little smile makes up for a lot of trouble that she causes throughout the day. Bridget talks non stop now. Some of her favorites are-yayou mama, wawy mama, I be goo girl, oh my gosh, oh man, oh danget! I wan wowa (major Dora fan). She’s able to communicate much better which is making my life easier and less of a guessing game.
Tubby time! Sarah our niece stayed over a couple nights at Grandma and Grandpa’s and this trio played non stop and had a blast.
The youngens. Well, I’m getting up there but I love Bri’s little sisters. I never had any so I steal his as much as possible. We had fun doing hair, picking outfits and shopping together-and of course EaTiNg!
The men. Brian, Tom-Bri’s sis Jenny’s hubby, Paul-Christy’s hubby and Craig the guru-Grandpa.
The girls. Well most of them. Emily, Linda, me, Bridgy, Christy and little Andrea. We missed Jenny who had to work and Heather who was socializing somewhere, who knows where.
